A general low-power view of the entire thickness of the endometrium in the region of the implanted embryo. The stromal edema in the upper two-thirds of the endometrium, normal for the 23rd day, and the serration of the glands are evident. The embryo is the small, dark, slightly elevated area at the top of the picture.
